In March 2026, AFKA Scotland launched The Good Practice in Permanence Guides – a series of practice guides centred around Building and Nurturing Connections, Supporting Birth Families and Supporting Families Providing Permanence Care. This surgery is of interest to practitioners and managers who are supporting children with a plan for permanence and are using the guides to inform this work. There will be space to share practice experience and developments as well as exploring practice challenges.
This is an online surgery which meets two times a year.
