Supporting Foster Carers and Kinship Carers at Children’s Hearings

Children’s Hearings are often a tense and confusing experience for carers and the children in their care. It is a formal legal forum where difficult family issues are discussed, and birth parents will be present. Foster carers and kinship carers need support in understanding the procedures, what their role and rights are, putting forward their views and helping the young people deal with their reactions to the Hearing.
