FACE 19: Families and Children’s Experiences of Covid 19
During the first year of the Covid 19 pandemic, Stirling University led a rapid research study called FACE 19 study (Families’ and Children’s Experiences of Covid-19), exploring how the pandemic and related restrictions affected the wellbeing of children, parents/carers and the workers who support them. Four third-sector partners, including AFKA Scotland, supported the research. The study was funded by the Chief Scientist’s Office.
AFKA brought a particular focus on involving kinship carers and practitioners who work them with to the research, and we are grateful to all AFKA members who contributed to the research. See the below video for further information about the study, which involved questionnaires and interviews with parents/carers, professionals and young people, as well as emerging findings.
