The aim of this conference is to share and discuss different approaches to involving children in research and centering their perspectives. The speakers will present findings from their recent studies with children and young people growing up in kinship care (Paul Shuttleworth), residential care (Andrew Burns) and kinship, foster and adoptive families (Helen Whincup). They will also discuss the range of methods they used in talking, listening and engaging with children and young people.
