Preparing and Presenting at Children’s Hearings and Court Proceedings – Updated & Revised
This training will provide a practical and informed approach for workers who are preparing for and appearing in children’s hearings and children’s referral court proceedings. With new legislation comes an opportunity to revisit best practice.
Social workers need to be able to evidence a thorough knowledge and understanding of thresholds for state intervention in family life and of the principles and practice of the Children’s Hearings System. This supports practitioners in achieving best outcomes from children’s hearings and Referral Court Proceedings.
This workshop is a must for any worker faced with an upcoming Children’s Hearing or charged with appearing at or writing a report for Court in children’s hearings proceedings, permanence applications or kinship care orders. Aimed at the practitioner new to children and family teams and in permanence or kinship teams, and for more experienced practitioners looking to sharpen their practice.
