Trainer Consultant and Kinship Care Consultant

 

Role 1:  Trainer Consultant –  Would you like to influence and support practice in Scotland? 

Can you see yourself as a Trainer/Consultant and be part of achieving our mission as an independent charity that promotes and facilitates evidence-informed best practice in fostering, kinship care and adoption, through advising, training, and influencing practitioners and policymakers, and supporting them to improve outcomes for children and families.

This role will involve contributing to our post graduate training courses, providing training to practitioners and consultancy on complex cases as well as potentially working within Adoption, Fostering and Kinship Panels across Scotland.

Contract:      Permanent
Hours:           Part time (21 hours per week) (flexible working)
Salary:          £46,380 – £52,177 p.a. (pro rata)

Role 2:  Kinship Care Consultant – Would you like to lead the Practitioner Service for the Kinship Care Advice Service for Scotland?

We are seeking a Kinship Care Consultant to take our service forward as kinship care continues to develop in Scotland. You should be a qualified social worker and have experience of delivering a Kinship Care Service. This role involves advising and supporting practitioners in kinship care, helping agencies to develop services, delivering training and creating practice information for kinship workers and networking across the UK to ensure everyone working in kinship care can be informed by latest developments.

You will be part of the AFKA team, learning from collaboration and also part of the KCASS Team supporting with helpline enquiries, community engagement, attending Service Steering Groups and contributing to the Kinship Policy Agenda.

Contract:      Permanent (funded by KCASS)
Hours:           Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary:          £45,219 – £51,017
